Mandy's Molasses Cookies

I know that there aren't many people who make these cookies anymore, but you know what? They are yummy! So, I looked up and tried a whole bunch of different recipes for molasses cookies. But alas, I didn't quite like any of them. They were too crunchy, didn't have the crackles in the top, didn't have enough spice in them or had too much, were too flat, or just plain old didn't taste right. So, like the creative person that I am, I threw all those other recipes out the window and made my own! And since then, I cannot tell you how many amazing compliments I've gotten on these... even from people who aren't particularly fans of molasses cookies. Below, is probably the best and funniest compliment that I've gotten on these:
